Now THIS was funny!

Saw this review on my friend Chris’ blog, a review for the book “The Shack.”

Not a huge fan of the book, but this was funny enough to post and needs little commentary from me!

UnREAL

at 2:45 I pee’d my pants a little bit.

Don’t like the song.
Don’t like him.
Can’t believe that a man can sing that high.
No doubt the kids got some serious chops.

Weekend Review

Great day today. The Pastor of Family Ministries Ed Gregorcic preached. As I’ve mentioned before, this weekend was my last “official” Sunday at Harvest York Region. That said, I will be leading there roughly once per month for the next few months, as they transition a new guy into the role.

All that said, here’s how it all went down.

Canaca….BEWARE

If you are reading this post today, it means that you have visited www.mattmacd.blogspot.com

If you are not (which would prevent you from knowing that you are not) that you have accessed my blog through www.mattmacdonald.ca

One of the nicest girls in the world used to manage my site admin for me. I am a slob and need to take it back (because it’s to much for me to ask…even the nicest of people to do).

So I pre-paid my hosting, only for the site to get shut down today. After calling them, the rude canaca lady says “oh, I guess they just haven’t processed it yet, you should have done it sooner.”

The “warning email” stated that I had until yesterday to renew…I paid 2 days ago…you do the math.

SO.

Thanks Canaca, for sucking. And for making my site fall down and not helping it back up. You kicked mud in its face and it is mad at you….really mad.

SICK.

I am sick….again. It seems like a theme. Today I emailed my worship team with the Order of Service and I said this;

“Hey Team. I hope that you are all having a great week so far. You can pray for me, I am (like it seems everyone is these days..)”

One of the faithful members of the team, Tim, then responded back and BURNED me bad about the slip…

What I MEANT to say was “I am feeling really sick.”

I love it when you feel so crappy that you do crazy stuff, but then God in His grace brightens your day through a funny little moment.

So thanks Tim for showing me an evidence of God’s amazing grace today!

Weekend Review

So I’m SO late in posting this (sorry Fred and S.S community).

This weekend was CRAZY! I was at my cottage….got up Sunday morning @5am to get there in time got home after 2pm (which is a long morning for only a 1-service church!)

All that said, it was a great service!

Count down to my last Sunday @ Harvest York Region is 1…this coming Sunday is my last. Will be bitter sweet. See HERE for what I’m talking about.

We did things a little differently this week. Firstly, we started with a “special.” A great song by Ben Cantelon of Soul Survivor. I found out that morning that our drummer has played with the guy that wrote it a few times…which was neat. The second thing is that we did “Glory to God”…again. Paul really wanted the congregation to KNOW IT…so we did it one last time…now we shelve it for a while. Here’s how the morning looked…

It's Appreciation Time!

This Sunday I gave each person in our worship ministry a copy of Driscoll’s “Vintage Jesus.” I read it and liked it, now I’m onto “Vintage Church” which just came out.

I think it is important to throw a book or some sort of ministry gift to the people volunteering with you. It not only gives them a resource that they can grow in for free, but also brings them in and makes them feel all warm and fuzzy. Good times!

DELAYED: Monday Meals With Matt

It slipped my mind.
I did it.
I captured it.
I did not post it.

Monday was yet another opportunity for Monday Meals w/ Matt. Due to the warmer climate…I BBQ’d. We had steak with sauteed onions and peppers, potatoes and the ever popular bruschetta. The meal was great. Here’s how it looked!
