I have noticed that as I am blogging less and simply surfing the internet less due to work and a shifting of priorities, I am having more time to do things that matter in the grander picture.
The past little while (as can be seen in my lack of blogging) I have been wrestling with the question of what the purpose of blogging, at least for me is. The more I read some people’s blogs, the more I ask myself…why the heck are they wasting their time? Nothing is original, everything is ripped from somewhere else…which until recently I thought was a commonly accepted principle, but I think there are still people out there that believe that ‘they are the first person to post a you-tube video on their blog…or have a blog header not provided by “Blogger.”
I find it funny how people can use blogs as a weapon, while at the same time claiming that the sole purpose of the blog is to glorify God…seems a little sketchy to me. I guess I’m just “done with foolish controversy,” and tired of fake people, saying fake things that promote self instead of Christ. I have come to the sobering conclusion that if God calls me to be above reproach…blogging is included.
So what does all this mean…
Well, it means that I am going to be blogging a lot less, and about things that matter. I think that it’s not really a choice, but something that needs to be done.
